As many people know, satellite TV is the wave of the future. It seems as though no matter where we go these days, it is very common to see a satellite dish on the side of at least a couple houses. We have gotten past the days of the large dishes that sat on lawns, and moved onto the smaller versions that are mounted on the sides of houses facing north.

As I mentioned earlier, there are two main competitors that provide satellite television. These competitors are DirecTV and Dish Network.

DirecTV has been around since 1994 and now has a clientelle of over 12 million. Known as the United States #1 satellite TV provider, DirecTV provides 225+ channels to select from, as well as some sporting programs that are not offered by their competitor such as Mega March Madness and NFL Sunday Ticket. DirecTV provides services throughout the United States as well as Puerto Rico.
